Description

Emergency Department Technician – Emergency Department * 30-bed Emergency Care Unit * Rapid paced, high acuity unit with 155 visits per day; > 55,000 annual visits * ACLS, PALS, and EKG provided * An orientation program facilitated by a Clinical Educator, focused on Emergency Nursing especially for the novice nurse * Full time (72 hours biweekly) * Shift: 12- hour night * Every fourth weekends * Eligible for shift and weekend differential Position Function: The Emergency Department Technician is under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager, Clinical Manager, or at the direction of a physician. Performs clerical, computer, phlebotomy, EKG, and other patient care duties in the Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

The Emergency Department Technician performs clerical, computer, phlebotomy, and EKG duties under the supervision of medical staff. They provide direct patient care support within a high-acuity emergency care unit.
