With the amalgamation of the Women’s and Children’s program to Credit Valley hospital later this year there is an opportunity to increase resources to manage women’s health and paediatric patients presenting to the Mississauga Hospital Emergency Department. The Women’s and Children’s Resource Nurse will provide 24/7 focus and expertise in all areas of the Emergency Department. This role will focus on providing care to emergent paediatric patients as well as patients with Emergent Women’s Health issues (laboring, miscarrying). The primary focus of this role will be to lend expertise to paediatric patients throughout the department including newborn care.
As part of out commitment to providing holistic, patient- centred care, this opportunity is ideal for nurses who have an interest in seeking more knowledge in the care of women’s and paediatrics patients in the Emergency Department.
