OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Emergency Heating Repair for our short let guest accommodation properties in Hawick and Galashiels. Repair requests will be sent to you and you will have the option to accept or decline. The pay is £100 for callout and up to 120 minutes work. Any repairs that take longer than 120 minutes will be paid at £25 per 30 mins thereafter. Any materials or consumables used shall be reimbursed at cost value.
The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of heating repair skills, enabling them to address various tasks efficiently. This role is essential in ensuring emergency repairs are done promptly and at any time, providing a safe and comfortable environment for all our guests.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Fully qualified and certified to work on UK boilers and heating systems
  • Strong knowledge of heating repair techniques and methods across various trades.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues effectively and provide practical solutions.
  • A valid driving license is essential for transportation between job sites.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects when necessary. If you are a proactive individual with a passion for hands-on work and problem-solving.

Responsibilities
  • Perform heating system repairs on short let properties, including basic plumbing and carpentry work.
  • Repair fixtures, appliances, and equipment as required.
  • Respond to repair requests within 90 minutes, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Collaborate with properties manager and guests to complete repairs efficiently.
  • Keep accurate records of repairs completed.
