GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Emergency Lighting InstallationServicing Engineer for Fixatex Ltd
The post holder will assume responsibility for completing all jobs assigned to them by the company. The company will expect all jobs to be completed to a high standard with the job holder using all technical knowledge to do so. The primary Job role is to carry out emergency light testing.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Knowledge of current legislation
  • Experience working with Emergency Lighting systems
  • Knowledge of SMART LED lighting systems.
  • Identification and reporting of failed equipment.
  • Experience of fault-finding diagnostics.
  • Reporting of works undertaken/further works required
  • Replacement of failed lighting components in accordance with BS 7671
  • Good communication (written and verbal)
  • Administrative skills
  • Positive attitude and time keeping

Qualifications / Experience

  • City and Guilds level 3 electrotechnical qualification in electrical installation or equivalent.
  • A working knowledge of BS 5266-1 2016
  • Asbestos Awareness

You must have held a full UK driving license for at least 12 Months.

Key Performance Indicators:.

  • Quality of certification submitted
  • Quality of installation works carried out.
  • To maintain company supplied equipment and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
  • To maintain clean company vehicles
  • To maintain a professional appearance wearing company supplied uniform and identification badge.
Responsibilities
  • Work in a safe and orderly manner in accordance with the current regulations.
  • Have a good understanding of Emergency Lighting and be able to identify/report faults.
  • Carry out monthly, quarterly and annual emergency lighting tests where required.
  • Replace failed equipment, Lamps, battery, ballasts, gear trays, fittings etc. (first time rectification if under self- certified limit)
  • Document all relevant information and/or use the Oneserve Application and/or EasyCert Application accurately and in a timely manner.
  • To Deliver excellent customer service
  • To undertake any training provided by the company
  • To Fully participate with performance improvement programmes including appraisals
  • To liaise with office staff and supervisors to assist in the resolving of queries
  • To support any business change for the benefit of the company.
