JOB SUMMARY

The Emergency Management Coordinator plays a crucial role in developing and implementing emergency management programs to ensure public safety and preparedness. This position will assist the EMS Director with EMS Education. Will also be responsible for Emergency Management and Preparedness for the facility. Will maintain an active role and participation State EMA and EMMCO West Boards as needed. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of public health principles, as well as the ability to effectively communicate during emergencies.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Paramedic or EMT certification required.
  • CPR/First aide required.
  • HAZMAT Operations and PALS, ACLS, CPR- Provider
  • PALS, ACLS, BTLS, CPR- Instructor Level preferred
  • Proven experience in emergency management or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
  • Knowledge of program management principles, including budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Familiarity with public health issues related to emergency preparedness is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in planning and executing programs.
    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: $30.00 - $32.50 per hour
    Expected hours: 24 per week

  • Conduct public speaking engagements to educate the community on emergency preparedness practices.
  • Oversee budgeting for emergency management programs, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Monitor and assess potential hazards within the community, recommending strategies for mitigation.
  • Lead response efforts during emergencies, ensuring effective communication and coordination among all parties involved.
