We Are Hiring Location: Austin, TX Facility: Seton Family of Hospitals Department/Specialty: Event Medicine Schedule: PRN Salary: $24.00 per hour What You Will Do Provide medical care and support to athletes during athletic practices and games, ensuring safety and quick intervention in emergencies. Triage patients and administer first aid using specified supplies and equipment, in accordance with established protocols. Communicate effectively with students, athletic coaches, parents, and families, keeping them informed about the care and progress of student-athletes. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of medical assessments, treatments, and any injuries sustained during practices or games. Collaborate with other medical professionals, athletic trainers, and team staff when necessary, ensuring continuity of care for student-athletes. While the role is primarily focused on supporting school sports, there will also be opportunities to work at special events, with hours and days determined by the specific event schedule. What You Will Need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the Texas Office of EMS-Trauma Systems obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
