JOB DESCRIPTION

Park Nicollet is looking to hire an EMT to join our team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Service excellence is to be centered on patient care and patient relationships and is the responsibility of all employees. Teamwork is the norm, and all employees will be held accountable to work as effective team members. Provide/support patient’s care by performing tasks and duties consistent with professional standards, ICSI guidelines, and PNHS policies and procedures. In addition, may function in supply aid and/or sterilization capacity. Maintain a safe work area and ensure that it is adequately stocked, cleaned, and organized. Implement cleaning and sterilizing procedures to support infection control and OSHA standards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
  • Graduate of an accredited EMT program
  • Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
  • Current EMT License
  • Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross required and maintained.
  • On-line BLS certification is not acceptable.
  • Must maintain skill in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including appropriate use of English grammar and spelling.
  • Demonstrated ability to function with multiple priorities and interruptions.
  • Safely and effectively operate the following: Various Health Testing Equipment (depending upon specialty area), Personal Computer, Printer, FAX Machine, and Telephone.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
  • At least six months recent (within the last 3 years) experience in a direct patient care setting
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Computer skills preferred.
