Position #: 131404 Expected Start Date: October 05, 2025 Union: HSAS Facility: Eston Health Centre City/Town: Eston Department: Ambulance - Land Type: Casual FTE: 0 Shift Information: Days, Nights, Evenings, Weekends, Standby Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician $29.909 to $36.572 Travel Required: No Job Description: Reporting to the Manager or designate for the area of province they are working, the Emergency Medical Services - EMT/PCP responds to emergency and non-emergency events. and provides assessment, treatment and transportation of the ill or injured persons consistent with The Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations; Saskatchewan College of Paramedics (SCoP) Clinical Practice Protocols; The Paramedics Act and bylaws; and Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) policies, procedures and work standards. Human Resources Exemption: No Education Primary Care Paramedic Certificate from an approved educational institute Licenses Valid Class 4 driver's license Other Education and Training Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR) International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS) Competencies Interpersonal skills Conflict resolution skills Listening skills Basic - Computer skills Verbal communication skills Written Communication Skills Knowledge and Abilities Decision making through the application of knowledge and critical thinking Demonstrated ability to use sound clinical judgement Ability to operate emergency vehicles safely and effectively Familiar with the SK Ministry of Health Ambulance Information System. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team Demonstrates the ability to be resourceful and to adapt to changing conditions Physically able to perform the duties of pre-hospital emergency care knowledge of legislation and regulations which governs practice Able to safely and consistently lift/load stretcher on a regular basis Ability to function effectively in high stress and in emergency situations Other Information Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at PCP/EMT level Additional Comment No guaranteed hours. Must be Available a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours per 3 week period. Must be available all shifts, short shifts, short notice calls, stats and holidays, where applicable.
Responsibilities
