Position #: 124337 Expected Start Date: October 11, 2025 Union: HSAS Facility: Cut Knife Health Centre City/Town: Cut Knife Department: Ambulance - Land Type: Casual FTE: 0 Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician $29.909 to $36.572 Travel Required: No Job Description: Reporting to the Manager or designate for the area of province they are working, the Emergency Medical Services - EMT/PCP responds to emergency and non-emergency events. and provides assessment, treatment and transportation of the ill or injured persons consistent with The Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations; Saskatchewan College of Paramedics (SCoP) Clinical Practice Protocols; The Paramedics Act and bylaws; and Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) policies, procedures and work standards. Human Resources Exemption: No Education Primary Care Paramedic Certificate from an approved educational institute Licenses Valid Class 4 driver's license Other Education and Training Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS) Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR) Competencies Listening skills Basic - Computer skills Conflict resolution skills Interpersonal skills Verbal communication skills Written Communication Skills Knowledge and Abilities Able to safely and consistently lift/load stretcher on a regular basis Ability to work independently and as a member of a team knowledge of legislation and regulations which governs practice Ability to operate emergency vehicles safely and effectively Ability to function effectively in high stress and in emergency situations Decision making through the application of knowledge and critical thinking Physically able to perform the duties of pre-hospital emergency care Demonstrates the ability to be resourceful and to adapt to changing conditions Demonstrated ability to use sound clinical judgement Familiar with the SK Ministry of Health Ambulance Information System.
