Position #: 201459 Expected Start Date: November 08, 2025 Union: HSAS Facility: Eston Health Centre City/Town: Eston Department: Ambulance - Land Type: Part-time regular FTE: 0.75 Shift Information: Days, Weekends, Standby Hours of Work: 42 shifts of 8 hours per 12 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician $29.909 to $36.572 Travel Required: No Job Description: Reporting to the Manager or designate for the area of province they are working, the Emergency Medical Services - EMT/PCP responds to emergency and non-emergency events. and provides assessment, treatment and transportation of the ill or injured persons consistent with The Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations; Saskatchewan College of Paramedics (SCoP) Clinical Practice Protocols; The Paramedics Act and bylaws; and Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) policies, procedures and work standards. Human Resources Exemption: No Education Primary Care Paramedic Certificate from an approved educational institute Licenses Valid Class 4 driver's license Other Education and Training International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS) Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR) Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) Competencies Verbal communication skills Conflict resolution skills Written Communication Skills Interpersonal skills Basic - Computer skills Listening skills Knowledge and Abilities Demonstrated ability to use sound clinical judgement Ability to work independently and as a member of a team Ability to function effectively in high stress and in emergency situations Able to safely and consistently lift/load stretcher on a regular basis Familiar with the SK Ministry of Health Ambulance Information System. Ability to operate emergency vehicles safely and effectively knowledge of legislation and regulations which governs practice Demonstrates the ability to be resourceful and to adapt to changing conditions Decision making through the application of knowledge and critical thinking Physically able to perform the duties of pre-hospital emergency care Other Information Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at PCP/EMT level Scheduled hours of work may be reduced during the rotation stipulated when a statutory holiday is recognized during that period. Must be able to respond to the ambulance within 10 minutes when on-call Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement
