Human Resources Exemption: No Education * Primary Care Paramedic Certificate from an approved educational institute Licenses * Valid Class 4 driver's license Other Education and Training * Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) * International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS) * Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR) Competencies * Basic - Computer skills * Interpersonal skills * Written Communication Skills * Listening skills * Conflict resolution skills * Verbal communication skills Knowledge and Abilities * Ability to function effectively in high stress and in emergency situations * Physically able to perform the duties of pre-hospital emergency care * Familiar with the SK Ministry of Health Ambulance Information System. * Decision making through the application of knowledge and critical thinking * knowledge of legislation and regulations which governs practice * Able to safely and consistently lift/load stretcher on a regular basis * Demonstrates the ability to be resourceful and to adapt to changing conditions * Ability to work independently and as a member of a team * Ability to operate emergency vehicles safely and effectively * Demonstrated ability to use sound clinical judgement Other Information * Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at PCP/EMT level * Scheduled hours of work may be reduced during the rotation stipulated when a statutory holiday is recognized during that period.
