Position #: 178672 Expected Start Date: February 23, 2026 Union: HSAS Facility: Kindersley Health Centre City/Town: Kindersley Department: Ambulance - Land Type: Part-time regular FTE: 0.64 Shift Information: Days, Nights, Evenings, Weekends, Standby Hours of Work: 143.36 hours per 6 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician $29.909 to $36.572 Travel Required: No Job Description: Reporting to the Manager or designate for the area of province they are working, the Emergency Medical Services - EMT/PCP responds to emergency and non-emergency events. and provides assessment, treatment and transportation of the ill or injured persons consistent with The Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations; Saskatchewan College of Paramedics (SCoP) Clinical Practice Protocols; The Paramedics Act and bylaws; and Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) policies, procedures and work standards. Human Resources Exemption: No Education Primary Care Paramedic Certificate from an approved educational institute Licenses Valid Class 4 driver's license Other Education and Training International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS) Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR) Competencies Basic - Computer skills Verbal communication skills Interpersonal skills Written Communication Skills Listening skills Conflict resolution skills Knowledge and Abilities Demonstrated ability to use sound clinical judgement Ability to function effectively in high stress and in emergency situations Demonstrates the ability to be resourceful and to adapt to changing conditions Ability to operate emergency vehicles safely and effectively Decision making through the application of knowledge and critical thinking Ability to work independently and as a member of a team knowledge of legislation and regulations which governs practice Physically able to perform the duties of pre-hospital emergency care Able to safely and consistently lift/load stretcher on a regular basis Familiar with the SK Ministry of Health Ambulance Information System. Other Information Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at PCP/EMT level Scheduled hours of work may be reduced during the rotation stipulated when a statutory holiday is recognized during that period.
