Position #: V42870 Expected Start Date: February 15, 2026 Union: HSAS Facility: Primary Health Care Services City/Town: Regina Department: Intermediate Care Services Type: Full-time temporary Expected Up to Date: January 04, 2027 FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days, Evenings, Weekends, Stats Hours of Work: 12 hour shifts Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic Coordinator $39.654 to $48.451 Travel Required: Yes Job Description: Reporting to a Primary Health Manager, the Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) performs basic life support and also can deliver the widest range of advanced life support skills and administration of medications currently allowed for paramedics in Saskatchewan. The ACP will take medical direction from Primary Health Nurse Practitioners or Family Physicians if applicable to the client care situation. Human Resources Exemption: No Education Grade 12 or equivalent. Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic/Advanced Care currently licensed in the Province of Saskatchewan. Current CPR level "C" Current ACLS and PALS Current ITLS - Advanced. Certified in Phlebotomy and Dangerous Goods Transport is an asset. Experience Minimum of 18 months previous experience working as an Advanced Care Paramedic. Previous community based experience is an asset. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Highly developed clinical skills and knowledge as an Advanced Care Paramedic. Outstanding communication skills verbal and written enabling best care outcomes for patients/clients. Exemplary ability to take charge of a client's personal care intervention to ensure scene safety and prioritize patient care when faced with crucial clinical decisions while working closely with other care teams such as the Primary Health Nurse Practitioners, Emergency Physicians, Primary Health Team and Family Physicians. Thorough knowledge and application of Saskatchewan Health Authority Values, Protocols and Work Standards for EMS and Primary Health Care departments. Thorough knowledge, application and operation of all equipment pertinent to the scope of practice of Advanced Care Paramedics. Demonstrate accountability, promptness, dependability, professionalism and honesty while adhering to the Saskatchewan Health Authority values. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office, e mail and Internet as well as MedAccess, Procura and Sunrise Clinical Manager. Flexible and adaptable to a changing workload. Physically fit and able to perform all duties. Other Information Must have a valid Saskatchewan driver's license. Some assignments may require access to a vehicle for work purposes. This is a community based position providing services in clinic and home settings. Travel required to various community sites within the Primary Health Care Networks (Regina). Home base for this position is: WRC 2180 23rd Avenue. Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement.
