Overview The Mobile Care Services team handles more than 19,500 ground transports annually. Utilizing a fleet of 24 ground ambulances and operates type I, II, and III ambulances. The adult and pediatric specialty care teams provide medical transport 24 hours/day. The role of the Emergency Medical Technician is to provide patient care and /or operation of an ambulance as part of the Medical Center's critical and non-critical transport program. Provides documentation of BLS patient conditions and cares as needed for patients within the scope limits of practice for an Emergency Medical Technician-Basic. Cleans and exhibits proper operation of ambulance, associated equipment and work area. Performs routine daily inspections and preventive maintenance of ambulances. Other duties that may be assigned.
