Experienced team of physicians, APPs and support staff with low turnover and excellent patient outcomes PRN hospital employed opportunity 24/7 hospitalist program responsible for adult and pediatric inpatients Schedule managed locally - flexible scheduling – team trades among themselves Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on Epic EMR to improve care coordination Luke’s Regional Medical Center serves 175,00 people in a three-state region of Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota Responsibilities Annual visit volume = 40,000 Average # of patients per day = 89 Average 1.5-1.9 patients per hour 40 hours of physician coverage & 27 hours of APP coverage per day Shift duration = 9 hours during weekday & 12 hours on weekends with good shift balance Work on an as needed basis Majority night and weekend openings Minimum 3 shifts/month Level 3 Trauma Center 32 bed ED APP’s manage a 12-bed clinical decision unit Integral part of the ED team Ability to see broad range of patient complaints and practice to top of your license No call, good work/life balance Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills Qualifications Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Board Certified Minimum of 2 years of experience Hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice Eligible to work in the United States We Offer Competitive hourly rate A commitment to ensuring you have a voice that is heard regardless of role, race, gender, religion, or sexual orientation.
