POSITION OVERVIEW We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Medicine Physician to join our dynamic and fast-paced Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered medical care to individuals with urgent and emergent health conditions. This role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of illnesses and injuries in a high-pressure environment that demands rapid decision-making and exceptional clinical skills. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Provide immediate and effective medical care to patients presenting to the Emergency Department. Perform diagnostic tests, interpret results, and make informed clinical decisions quickly. Coordinate with nursing staff, specialists, and other healthcare providers to ensure timely and appropriate patient management. Perform emergency procedures such as intubations, central line placements, suturing, fracture management, and resuscitation. Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record (EMR). Triage and prioritize patient care based on acuity and resource availability. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care. Participate in departmental meetings, continuing medical education (CME), and quality improvement initiatives. Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols, including those related to infection control and patient safety. QUALIFICATIONS Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications. Strong clinical judgment, diagnostic skills, and ability to remain calm under pressure. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Responsibilities
The Emergency Medicine Physician will provide immediate medical care to patients in the Emergency Department and perform diagnostic tests and emergency procedures. They will also coordinate with healthcare providers and document patient care in the electronic medical record.
