Description

Hamilton County Public Health is accepting applications for a full-time Emergency Response Coordinator in the Emergency Preparedness Division. Requirements include: Bachelor’s degree in public health, health education, emergency preparedness, biology or closely related field and two (2) years experience in emergency preparedness, community outreach, or disaster response planning. Must possess a valid driver’s license issued by the state of residency.

Job duties included but are not limited to:

  • Complete assigned Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) grant deliverables.

· Manages the agency’s Point of Dispensing (POD) Program.

  • Assists in managing and updating standard operating guidelines and plans for the agency’s public health response.

· Coordinates, plans and executes public health emergency preparedness activities (trainings, exercises) in collaboration with other area health districts, local governments, agencies, hospital, law enforcement, laboratories and physician providers.

  • Participates in local and regional meetings to ensure coordination and collaboration of preparedness activities.

· Tracking inventory levels: This includes using inventory management software to track the quantity and location of emergency response items.
· Maintains effective working relationships with federal, state and local agencies and collaborates with other disaster preparedness organizations locally and regionally.

· Serves in assigned ICS capacity (ESF #8) during emergency event.

  • Provides emergency preparedness education to partners as requested.
  • Provide various support for public health emergencies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
