Emergency Response Team Member- $50/hr
Sunstates Security is hiring Flex - Emergency Response Team Member in the Menlo Park, CA area. These positions offer a pay rate of $50/hr, paid weekly.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Hold a valid state issued driver’s license if operating a motor vehicle.
  • Have the ability to potentially obtain or already possess a CCW if required by the client.
  • Able to obtain Taser Certification
  • Able to obtain a Guard Card
  • Meet all federal, state and local licensing requirements.
  • Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
  • Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
  • Physically able to perform the required tasks assigned to the relevant posts.
  • Be neat, clean and well-groomed appearance while providing services
Responsibilities
  • ERT Personnel shall provide safety and security services to ensure a safe environment for all personnel [employees, contractors, visitors and guests].
  • Security Personnel as described in site specific post orders, shall provide specific access control services. Access Control services are critical to the services provided, and will be the first line of detection and response for the Physical Security Team.
  • Security Personnel shall enforce client security policies to include access control, vehicle parking, COVID-19 access requirements and reporting, and to observe and report any violations of policy to the Physical Security Team.
  • Security Personnel shall issue/provide client temporary, employee, visitor or guest badges as required by virtue of the post requirements.
  • Operate and maintain protective, operations, and communications equipment and promptly identify and escalate deficiencies/failures.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide medical support, as necessary.
  • Ensure effective prompt reporting is carried out for both Incidents and Observations for an SBAR format to provide meaningful real time recommendations.
  • Assist with onsite terminations.
  • This includes the process for notifying the Physical team and communicating to the GSOC to ensure access is canceled on their badges. Provide response services for a variety of situations including natural disasters, civil unrest, workforce disruptions, and high-risk terminations.
  • Provide any escorts to contractors throughout the facilities, as needed.
  • Be the point person for any onsite emergencies such as building evacuations or active shooter situations.
  • Be the point person for any medical related incidents and will administer emergency aid up to the point an ambulance is required.
  • Ensure daily mail procedures are followed to assist with receiving all items
    A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP, and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives
