Job Details Job Location: Willapa Harbor Hospital - South Bend, WA 98586 PAY: According to Union Contract-DOE $23.17- $37.17, EOE SHIFT: Per Diem Day/Nights, weekends, holiday Rooming patients upon arrival to the ED. Gown all patients that arrive to the ED. Perform patient care and ADL’s for patients as needed. Complete initial set of vitals, then hourly throughout visit, unless ordered more frequently. Collecting urine samples and EKG’s in Epic. Performing rapid EKG’s per policy and as ordered. Connect patients to telemetry and/or Qube as indicated. Assist RN’s with nursing procedures as requested. Clerical duties: Answer phones, call for transfer requests, set up transportation, and scan medical records into chart. Float to the med/surg unit as needed for pt care. This position reports directly to the ED Manager. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Must have current CPR certification Clerical experience or previous experience as a unit coordinator preferred. Excellent communication skills and be able to communicate clearly and accurately in the English language, both orally and in writing. Medical Background Required Ability to follow directions and work well with others. Current active licensure in the State of Washington as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Responsibilities
The Emergency Room Tech is responsible for rooming patients, performing patient care, and assisting RNs with nursing procedures. Additional duties include clerical tasks such as answering phones and managing medical records.
