Description
Respond to medical emergencies, chemical spills/leaks, gas releases, HAZMAT incidents, and confined space/high angle rescues. Serve as Emergency Response Team (ERT) Captain and direct all response personnel during emergencies. Document incidents and maintain and inspect emergency response tools and equipment. Ensure compliance with safety protocols including PPE, lockout/tagout (CoHE), and chemical handling. Perform safety checks, report issues, support hazard prevention, and help improve safety, efficiency, and overall workplace quality. Apply and review Job Hazard Analyses (JHA/JSA). Communicate important shift updates and work with other teams to solve safety and equipment issues. Participate in meetings, provide feedback, and contribute to area improvement efforts. Lead or support safety-related projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with scope while monitoring and analyze safety and equipment data to identify trends and resolve issues. Support cost reduction and quality improvement efforts through data-driven decision-making and perform preventive maintenance and complete work orders. Ensure the protection and safeguarding of employees and company assets during emergency and non-emergency situations. Associate's or degree in Emergency Services or related field. 2+ years' experience in Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) License or equivalent field Ability to work 12-hour shifts (3 days on/4 days off and 4 days on/3 days off), progress between day and night shifts every 4 months, and adapt to different shifts and overtime as needed to support business operations Must be able to regularly lift 25-40 pounds, which accounts for about 10% of the job responsibilities. Stand for up to 10 hours per shift and walk intermittently (1-5 miles per shift) to fulfill job requirements. 2+ years' experience with SAP, Enablon, or similar incident tracking systems. The ability to become certificated in: SCBA, SKA, and APR respiratory protection HAZMAT response Confined space/high angle rescue Bachelor's degree in Emergency Services or related field. 4+ years experience in Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) License or equivalent field 4+ years experience with SAP, Enablon, or similar incident tracking systems.
