The Emergency Department Assistant functions within his/her scope of practice under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse to assist in providing care and implementing delegated activities of the nursing plan. S/he demonstrates an understanding of basic nursing skills and utilizes specialized knowledge, skills and techniques in Emergency care to perform and assist in performance of patient care in the Emergency Department. Responsibilities
