You'll join a friendly, experienced Emergency team in a state-of-the-art facility, providing high-quality emergency and critical care services to our community's beloved pets! Responsibilities: Permanent Full-time role - ideal start date 5th December 2025 Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill and injured animals in our emergency department Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, surgeries, and treatments Monitor patients' vital signs and administer medications as prescribed Perform diagnostic tests such as bloodwork, X-rays, and ultrasounds Maintain accurate medical records and ensure all documentation is up-to-date Communicate effectively with pet owners, providing updates on their pet's condition and treatment plan Collaborate with other members of the veterinary team to ensure the best possible patient outcomes Requirements: Diploma or Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent) Minimum of 3 years' experience working as a veterinary nurse, preferably in an emergency or critical care setting Strong clinical skills and knowledge of veterinary medical procedures Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate and empathetic towards both animals and their owners Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays Benefits: Opportunities for professional development and continuing education Opportunity to attend the annual Greencross Conference next year Discounts on veterinary services and Petbarn retail products Supportive and collaborative work environment Access to state-of-the-art veterinary equipment and facilities Sound like your next role?
