We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Consultant - Northeast– focused on Emerging Biotech, within the bio-manufacturing of novel modalities.
Your Role:
You will play a crucial role in identifying, developing, and managing new business opportunities within the emerging biotech sector, specifically focusing on the transition from early process development to GMP biomanufacturing.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Customer Applications, Technical Services, and other MilliporeSigma Life Sciences partners to drive strategic partnerships and business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
A hunting mindset for partners to position and conduct seeding activities of our platform portfolios.
Strong networking experience, excellent listening skills and proven customer engagement including participation at customer sites, regional/national conferences, symposiums and internal events.
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related field.
5+ years of emphasis on biotech or pharmaceutical industry experience
Strong understanding of biotech R&D processes, clinical trial phases, and the regulatory landscape. Familiarity with current trends and challenges in the biotech sector.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities. Proficiency in project management and business analysis tools and CRM (salesforce.com, etc)
Must be based in the Northeast, US. Preferably MA/NH area
Ability to travel domestically up to 50% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree (MBA, PhD)
Experience in biomanufacturing and/or process development
