We are looking for a Diesel Particle Filter (DPF) expert for our Product development team in Catalyst Systems. Your main responsibility will be to lead research and product development targeting DPF systems for the marine market.
The preferred location for this position is Vaasa, Finland, but Turku and Helsinki are also possible. We offer the possibility of hybrid work.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Catalyst Systems in Wärtsilä is responsible for developing and managing the Wärtsilä NOR (SCR) product and DPF solutions for Wärtsilä engines. We have a central and exciting role in enabling the decarbonization of the marine and stationary engine industry.
As Emission Control Expert, DPF you will lead research and development activities developing the performance and competitiveness of Catalyst System products. Your main technical responsibility will be particle filters and their application to the Wärtsilä engine portfolio. You will also work closely with our sales and delivery projects to ensure that they have the knowledge needed for successful commercial projects.
You’ll be working as a part of the Product Development Team in Catalyst Systems in an energetic, innovative, and collaborative environment.

YOUR WORK WILL FOCUS ON THESE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead research and testing activities related to DPF systems.
  • Be a leading expert on how to implement DPF technology on Wärtsilä engines.
  • You can also take a role in developments related to SCR systems.
