JOB DESCRIPTION

The We Work for Families Project provides a specialist employability and skills service for parents, across North Ayrshire. We provide a wide range of support to parents to identify and remove barriers that are preventing them moving in to sustainable employment. The Programme brings together a wider support network of Specialist organisations to support families and provide help with things like Mental Health, Debt, Housing, Parenting, Convictions, Disabilities and Benefits etc. to help overcome barriers and support Parents move in to sustainable employment.
This role will focus on end-to-end employability support to parents.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE

Experience of working in the employability industry for at least 2 years is desirable.
Knowledge and experience in all Microsoft packages with a methodical approach to working.
The ability to build rapport with can do attitude
Full Drivers Licence is essential for this role
Job Type – Full Time - 35 hours per week
Salary - £23.500 per year
Schedule: Monday to Friday ( 3 days office based) - Full time office based during first 2 months of employment

Responsibilities

· Manage a caseload of customers to ensure progression in to employment through a full wrap around support following a robust action plan.
· Ensure appropriate and effective contractual activity is undertaken by all customers according to their level of job readiness.
· Address barriers to employment, utilising the already established relationships with stakeholders within North Ayrshire and develop new relationships to continue to grow the support offer.
· Provide advice, guidance, and support for customers during their initial weeks of employment, supporting their transition from welfare to employment to maximise the potential for customers to sustain employment in the long term
· Observe and adhere to our customer service standards so that all customers are provided with the same high standard of service that maximizes their chances of securing sustainable employment, training, or education.
· Maintain IT files and customer records to a required quality standard to ensure the customer journey is documented in accordance with our quality standards
· Identify employment and opportunities with employers and stakeholders through marketing parents directly
· Ensure compliance with our company policies (including Health & Safety, Safeguarding and Data Security)
