SUMMARY:

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for the effective marketing, sale, and administration of insurance products.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • College or University Degree preferred
  • Employee Benefits Marketing Experience required.
  • Experience with Self-funded and larger groups preferred.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Level of Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Knowledgeable of proposal software packages, group life and health insurance products, formal presentation packages, death benefits, life insurance application processing and policy servicing.
  • Group I Life & Health Insurance license required
  • High energy, detail-oriented self-starter
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the marketing of Employee Benefits events through branding, communication plan and execution to drive attendance, creation of promotional and event materials, and internal awareness.
  • Prepare requests for proposal (RFPs). Prepare client proposals for current clients and prospects utilizing word-processing, database, vendor information and spreadsheets.
  • Assist in the analysis of line of business and insurance company production trends and make recommendations to correct deficiencies.
  • Maintain current and accurate prospect, client, and vendor database and hard files.
  • Communicate case status with Producer, Account Executive(s) Account Manager(s), and Clients.
  • Prepare detailed analysis of bids received.
  • Prepare reports including group prospect, renewal, commissions, products, and sales.
  • Resolve Client questions and problems in absence of Producer.
