JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Benefit Specialist to join non-for profit human resources team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with employment and labor laws, and providing exceptional support to employees regarding their benefits inquiries. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to analyze data effectively.
Our Not For Profit client is located in downtown Chicago and is looking for a temporary Benefits Specialist. The ideal candidate will have previous benefits experience and strong ADP skills.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to reliably enter data
  • Experience in ADP required

Responsibilities
  • Assisting with onboarding of new employees into ADP and tracking data integrity.
  • Assist with administering employee benefit plans: monitor eligibility for benefits, verify payroll deductions, work with insurance agent to correct errors in enrollment, audit payroll and benefits data periodically to ensure accuracy and take corrective action as needed.
  • Enter data for personnel actions including new hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations for hourly and salaried employees
  • Support payroll administration and HR submissions to the Payroll Department
