Your Role This is an exciting opportunity to lead, develop and execute internal communications that informs and engages stakeholders and employees about the activities of the Retail Insurance Australia (RIA) Transformation Office. As the Employee Communications Advisor for RIA Transformation Office and a new business acquisition for IAG, you’ll craft and deliver compelling messaging that connects employees to strategy, purpose, and change. Working closely with senior leaders (including the Chief Transformation Officer and Chief Executive of a business unit), you’ll shape narratives that bring complex transformation and integration initiatives to life. You’ll partner with project teams and business units to develop tailored communication strategies, support executive engagement, and ensure alignment across IAG, RIA, and Group functions. From advising stakeholders to preparing high-impact messaging and driving integration communications, your work will be central to building understanding, trust, and momentum across the organisation. If you're passionate about leading a communications strategy, connecting teams, distilling complex information, making change feel meaningful and have strong strategic influence, this role is for you! This is a 12-month max term opportunity with hybrid working conditions, open to our office based in Gadigal Country (Sydney). About you To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally meet the below criteria: 8-10 years employee communication experience ideally Extensive experience in corporate communications within large, complex organisations, ideally supported by a degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field. Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, able to distil complex transformation initiatives into clear, compelling narratives. Demonstrated adaptability and resilience, with the ability to shift tone and approach to suit varied audiences, and openness to feedback in fast-paced, evolving environments. Strong stakeholder engagement, with the ability to influence and advise senior leaders while aligning messaging across multiple organisations. Project and channel management skills, confident managing multiple priorities and internal platforms like intranets, newsletters, and video content.
