Description

Harrison Pensa is hiring an experienced Learning and Development Coordinator to spearhead training initiatives to develop and improve employee productivity, and customer satisfaction. We are seeking an engaging, highly organized, and ambitious individual to develop, deliver, and maintain training programs for individual users and practice groups.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and deliver extensive employee on-boarding training to all new employees; inclusive but not limited to computer software and systems, phone and voicemail management, video and web conferencing;
  • Develop and deliver practice group specific training programs; inclusive of various end-user applications and legal industry software packages consistent with the LTC4 framework;
  • Identify training and education opportunities and offer formal training programs to support individuals in improving job skills;
  • Work with support staff and develop in-depth understanding of systems and software and provide recommendations on improving processes or further education;
  • Provide training on security and compliance based on LTC4 curriculum, SOC 2/ISO/ITIL frameworks, and firm standards;
  • Deliver training on new software, software and operating system upgrades, and hardware upgrades as they arise;
  • Develop and maintain a monitoring system for completion of training initiatives;
  • Collect feedback from trainees to develop programs and/or create further initiatives for the firm;
  • Liaise with IT to create new tools and/or processes for continuous improvement;
  • Participate in IT projects where those projects have a training element to them;
  • Maintain firm library records, including distribution and processing new material, tracking invoicing and receipts, contacting vendors, etc.;
  • Other duties as required.

The successful candidate ideally has the following qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Learning and Development, HR, Education, or related field;
  • 5 to 8 years of experience developing and delivering training programs both individual and group settings;
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills; able to clearly articulate information to others;
  • Strong relationship building skills and interpersonal skills; develop relationships with all employees;
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite applications;
  • Proficiency in video editing and knowledge management/training systems;
  • Proficient in various legal software and technologies such as iManage, Aderant, Legal AI Software; considered an asset;
  • Experience working in a professional services environment considered an asset;
  • Ability to learn new software, technology, business processes, etc. quickly and independently.

We offer a salary commensurate with experience and a collegial environment.

The expected compensation range for this role is between $65,000 and $80,000.

We are looking for an Employee Engagement and Experience Coordinator to join our HR team. This role requires travelling to our hotels in Banff, Lake Louise, AB, and Emerald Lake, BC.


Primary Function: To champion the employee experience at CRMR by fostering a positive, connected, and inclusive workplace culture across all properties. This role serves as the first point of contact for employee engagement, supporting the full employee lifecycle from onboarding through recognition, and driving initiatives that strengthen employee morale, retention, and belonging


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Onboarding & Orientation
  • Assist with the onboarding process for all new hires across all properties, ensuring all required documentation is completed prior to each employee's start date
  • Conduct and continuously improve new hire orientation sessions, including presentations, videos and welcome packages
  • Partner with department managers to ensure consistent and high-quality orientation experience across all four properties
  • Internal Communications
  • Create and distribute company wide newsletters and internal announcements on a regular cadence
  • Maintain and distribute monthly company directory updates across all properties
  • Support HR in drafting and distributing internal communications related to company updates, policy changes, and employee programs
  • Manage internal communication channels and ensure timely, consistent, and engaging messaging to employees across all properties
  • Employee Programs & Perks
  • Manage and administer the stay voucher program, including processing, tracking, and distribution of 6-month vouchers
  • Own and administer the employee pass programs, including summer activity passes and winter ski passes, from application through distribution
  • Serve as the primary contact for employee inquiries related to perks and passes, providing prompt and helpful responses or directing employees to the appropriate resource
  • Identify opportunities to expand or enhance employee perks and programs in line with budget and present recommendations to the Director of HR
  • Events & Culture Building
  • Support the planning and execution of employee events, activities, and culture-building initiatives, including but not limited to Housekeeping Olympics, Culinary Appreciation Day, Staff Christmas Party, and other employee appreciation events
  • Coordinate logistics for events including activities, communications and management
  • Identify and propose new initiatives and traditions that strengthen team connection and morale across all properties
  • Employee Recognition
  • Manage and administer employee recognition programs, including work anniversaries, long service awards, and other appreciation milestones
  • Proactively track and flag upcoming recognition milestones to ensure no employee is overlooked
  • Partner with GMs and HODs to personalize recognition efforts where appropriate
  • Support the development of a more robust recognition framework as the company grows
  • Employee Engagement & Surveys
  • Work in collaboration with HR leadership on developing and distributing employee engagement surveys (Pulse Survey/Exit Survey)
  • Analyze survey results and help identify trends, themes, and areas for improvement
  • Prepare reports and present findings to HR leadership with recommended actions
  • Reporting
  • Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly reports for HR leadership on analytics through the HRIS, including Workforce and staffing, Attendance and labour, Recruitment, Risk Dashboard.


Requirements/Experience:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources (or working towards it) is an asset
  • Experience in the hospitality industry
  • Passionate about people, culture, and creating great employee experiences
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a creative eye for internal content
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
