The Opportunity Asteron Life is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Insurance Pricing & Retention Consultant to join a fabulous team in a fast-growing area of the business in a 12-month contract. They will support the continued growth and sustainability of our Employee Insurance. This role is responsible for delivering competitive pricing and tailored presentations of our Group Life offer to selected new business markets, while also managing the re-pricing of existing plans. Working closely with the Actuarial, Claims, Distribution, Underwriting and Product teams, the Consultant will ensure quotation processes align with strategic objectives and are completed accurately and efficiently, including oversight of non-standard referrals and approvals within delegated authority. Beyond pricing, the role plays a vital part in retaining and nurturing relationships with existing Group Life clients. The consultant will proactively engage with brokers, advisers and our Third-Party administrators to support retention strategies, resolve queries, and provide training where needed. Regular contact with advisers, combined with product and industry knowledge, will be key to promoting Asteron Life’s Group Life offer and ensuring mutual clients receive exceptional service and timely updates on rate reviews and remarkets. Success in this role requires a strong blend of analytical precision, relationship management and operational agility. The ideal candidate will be highly numerate, customer-focused, and capable of managing multiple priorities under pressure.
