Your role & work environment
Within the Human Resources organization, the role of Employee Journey Expert is to Collaborate with HR professionals to bring to life a differentiating employee experience. Applies expertise in needs analysis and journey mapping, aims at improving the employee experience across the employee life-cycle by improving effectiveness, quality and speed of delivery, while ensuring to be compliant and cost-efficient.
The role is embedded within the People Services area and works closely with the different professionals of the People Services team, but also with the Centres of Expertise (Performance & Reward, Talent & Learning) on the one hand and the HR Business partners on the other hand. And this in order to assure delivery and collaboration in a smooth way towards the internal clients, people leaders and employees. The position is based in Luxembourg and reports to the Head of People Services and Social Relations of ING Luxembourg.
Your key responsibilities
The Employee Journey expert works closely with the HRBPs/COE’s and the People Services team in the daily HR operations with the following key activities:
- Employee relations and support in dedicated area’s: providing guidance on HR related issues and policies. This includes different area’s like return back from maternity or extended leave to ensure a smoot transition back to work; reintegration plans and employee support (reseau de vigilance), act as an advocate for employees promoting a culture of inclusion and engagement and handle employee experience…
- HR Compliance, performance and case management: stay updated on legislative changes and ensure HR practices align with legal standards, advise people managers on policy interpretation, addressing questions and giving guidance. Provide coaching to employees and managers for effective performance improvement plans; assist in conflict resolution and provide advice on best practices in managing team dynamics and step in where needed representing the HR view on top of people managers role
- International mobility: support the planning and coordination of international mobility programs, including expatriate assignments and relocation processes. Provide advice on cross-border employment issues, visas, and work permits in coordination with internal and external stakeholders; assist employees and managers in understanding the requirements and benefits related to international transfers and assignments.
- Employee experience: collaborate on implementing initiatives to enhance employee engagement and experience. Organize focus groups, feedback sessions, and workshops to gather insights into the employee experience to create positive impact on the Employee Experience Index survey; work on projects related to wellbeing and work-life balance to ensure employees feel supported throughout their career journey.
- Coordination, communication and reporting: maintain accurate records of employee interactions, performance reviews, and case documentation in LTA, STA, transfers. Managing ITP program in partnership with hiring and HRBPs. Ensure data protection and confidentiality in accordance with GDPR and other relevant regulations
How to succeed?
- You hold a Master’s degree, by preference with a legal background
- You have 7+ years work experience, experience in human resources or in areas with legal background and/or consulting are strong assets.
- You are willing to learn and invest in your own growth plan to assure all expertise to be onboarded in the areas of concern. You can count on a supporting environment at ING HR
- You are Fluent in English (speaking and writing) and French; and/or German/Luxembourgish which is an extra asset
- Experience in an international or matrix organization is an advantage (coordination skills)
- You are strong in advisory skills with the ability to communicate in more delicate context
- You can ‘get people on board’ and ensure necessary buy-in from stakeholders
- You are good in data analysis, coordination and reporting
- You are capable and willing to be pragmatic in delivery in support and good collaboration with your colleagues within the COEs, People Services and HRBP. And this in a can do mentality
