The Employee Relations team provides strategic expertise on employee relations (ER) and employment policy matters across UCL. The Employee Relations Administrator will provide a comprehensive administration support service to a small team of ER professionals, whose objective is to ensure that UCL’s treatment of employees is fair, respectful and consistent with the university’s policies and values.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Undertaking the role of Employee Relations (ER) Administrator is an excellent step in your HR career, securing meaningful and specialist ER experience. You will gain a range of experiences and insights which will allow you to develop your career within a highly supportive environment.

Reporting to an Employee Relations Manager, you will provide high quality administration support, ensuring discipline, grievance and other employee relations cases are dealt with fairly and swiftly. Your responsibilities will involve the following:

  • Collate and produce administration packs for cases – investigations, disciplinaries, grievances and employment tribunals
  • Support the administration aspects of casework management and support at hearings and meetings as appropriate (including note taking)
  • Advise a range of stakeholders, including parties involved in cases. on Employee Relations procedures and processes
  • Triage “report & support” admissions from staff, dealing with sensitive issues confidentially
  • Manage and maintain sensitive case documentation and records, collating and analyse data and presenting information in a user-friendly and professional manner.

Please note, this role offers hybrid working and will be based onsite for a minimum of 2-days per week art our London Kings Cross/St Pancras offices.
