Join us and play your part in building the next chapter of some of Britain’s most loved brands. Job Description We are looking for an 6 month FTC Employee Relations (ER) Advisor to join our team. This role is focused on building positive working relationships, resolving conflict, and ensuring we remain compliant with employment legislation, while working closely with stakeholders across a defined geography. This is a hybrid role, with three days per week based at one of our sites. Due to business and team needs, regular travel across our UK sites will also be required. You will provide timely, practical and proactive employee relations advice to employees and managers across the UK, supporting areas such as policy interpretation, conflict resolution, performance and absence management. The role will involve investigating and resolving employee complaints and grievances, carrying out thorough and impartial investigations, and working collaboratively with managers and HR Business Partners to address performance issues and agree appropriate corrective action plans. You will also be responsible for mediating discussions between employees and managers to help resolve conflict and strengthen working relationships, supporting managers through capability reviews, and advising on family‑friendly policies including maternity and paternity leave. In addition, the role will support wider change activity such as restructures, provide guidance on ACAS conciliation and Employment Tribunal cases, and ensure employment law knowledge remains up to date to help mitigate legal risk. Qualifications Strong interpersonal and communication skills Excellent collaboration skills incl. the capacity to tell people what they need to hear Business acumen to connect data with business reality Adaptability to operate at all levels of the organisation Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Deep understanding of HR Policies and practice Ability to conduct thorough and objective investigations, maintaining confidentiality and integrity. Excellent problem solving and decision making skills Strong organisational skills to manage multiple cases and prioritise work effectively. Proven experience in Employee Relations, handling employee relations matters within a business.
