HAYLEY DEXIS are looking for an Employee Relations Advisor to join our well-established and expanding HR team based at our headquarters in Halesowen.

SKILLS WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN OUR EMPLOYEE RELATIONS ADVISOR:

  • A friendly, team-player with a can-do attitude!
  • A strong understanding and experience in Employee Relations ranging from lower level to complex cases.
  • UK Travel required (drivers licence necessary).
  • Knowledge of UK employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and work on own initiative.Ideally available to start at short notice.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As the ER Advisor, you will lead on ER cases and provide consistent and practical specialist employee relations, employment law and change management advice and guidance to business stakeholders. The purpose of this role is to support the branch network with advice and guidance on ER matters in line with company policy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AS OUR EMPLOYEE RELATIONS ADVISOR WILL INCLUDE:

  • Proactively overseeing employee relations activities and providing support to managers on a wide variety of people issues including performance management, complex cases, absence management, hearings and appeals.
  • Managing case documentation/bundle preparation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company policies and legal standards.
  • Developing and updating HR policies, ensuring compliance and effective implementation.
  • Identifying shortcomings in existing processes, systems and procedures, then collaborates with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.
  • Providing support to business projects on consultation, TUPE etc.
  • The creation, education and roll out of HR training programme(s) to managers to be confident and self-sufficient in first line HR matters.
  • Ongoing development of best practice Employee Relations ensuring compliance with employment law and regulations.
  • Utilising data to proactively identify ER trends to inform wider HR initiatives and identify areas of improvement.
