WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Previous experience in an employee relations role managing complex caseloads
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent experience, with up-to-date knowledge of UK employment legislation
  • Strong operational understanding and commercial awareness
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with confidence advising senior leaders
  • Ability to use data to support decisions and track themes and trends
  • A proactive mindset and strong organisational skills
  • Basic Excel skills and a willingness to get hands-on with systems and reporting

In this role, you’ll be the go-to expert for guiding leaders through the complexities of employee relations—handling sensitive cases with confidence and care, helping us build stronger relationships.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Managing a dynamic caseload of 20–40+ employee relations matters at any one time
  • Leading on a range of issues including absence, disciplinary, grievance and consultation procedures from start to finish
  • Providing hands-on guidance to divisional leadership teams, helping them make informed, people-focused decisions
  • Creating helpful templates and guides so managers can self-serve with confidence
  • Supporting stakeholders with varying levels of ER knowledge—offering training, coaching and reassurance
  • Identifying early signs of risk and flagging potential concerns promptly
  • Working collaboratively across teams on TUPE transfers, data requests (DSARs), and reporting
  • Hosting regular case reviews and sharing updates, action plans and outcomes
  • Supporting policy development, ER projects, and continuous process improvement
