As an Employee Relations Advisor, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring fair treatment for all employees. Dive into the dynamic world of Employee Relations and Employment Policy, working closely with Line Managers, ER Delivery Managers, and HR Business Partners to craft and implement impactful solutions. Your role will be pivotal in reducing risks and maintaining compliance. You’ll also collaborate with external providers like Occupational Health to deliver timely and essential services. Location: (LU5 5XE) – 5 days a week in our Dunstable campus.
Salary : £30,000 - £33,000

WHAT WE NEED

  • 1 year of ER Experience.
  • Strong understanding of UK Employment Law.
  • Excellent communication skills, with good telephone manner, calmness under pressure, and flexibility in coaching or directing.
  • Knowledge of ER/HR employment policies and procedures.
  • Proficient in data protection regulations for rights requests.
  • Ability to influence at all levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide ER advice via phone and email, using knowledge of employment law, company policy, and business requirements.
  • Use coaching skills to understand case context and respond to managers, identifying any gaps.
  • Support Line Management in developing employee relations capabilities.
  • Follow up on actions to respond to queries, ensure advice is followed, provide support, and confirm case closure.
  • Identify risks and escalate them to the appropriate manager or ER Specialist.
  • Review cases to highlight risks, capability gaps, or process improvements, and advise on fair and consistent employment policies.
