We’re looking for a compassionate, compliance-savvy, and people-first Director of HR and Employee Relations to lead our employee relations strategy across multiple assisted living communities nationwide. In this highly visible role, you’ll serve as a trusted resource for both leadership and frontline team members, ensuring that our culture remains respectful, legally compliant, and focused on the well-being of both residents and employees.
This role is ideal for an experienced HR leader who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and can navigate the nuances of state-specific regulations, union activity (if applicable), and the unique challenges of long-term care settings.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee employee relations across a multi-site, multi-state assisted living portfolio, ensuring consistency in policy interpretation, conflict resolution, and employee support.
  • Serve as a key advisor to Executive Directors, Regional Leaders, and our PEO Partners on performance management, workplace investigations, and employee conduct.
  • Conduct or oversee complex and sensitive investigations with objectivity, professionalism, and discretion.
  • Monitor trends and proactively address culture or compliance risks by developing action plans and recommending policy updates.
  • Ensure adherence to state-specific employment laws (wage & hour, licensure, leave policies, etc.) and federal regulations impacting long-term care and senior living.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel on compliance issues, EEOC responses, and litigation support as needed.
  • Lead training and development for leadership on employee relations best practices, workplace civility, and documentation.
  • Promote an inclusive workplace culture where every team member feels valued, supported, and heard.
