We are looking for an Employee Relations Executive to manage and resolve escalated employee-related cases, often involving complex legal issues and multiple parties. You will support the delivery of our employee relations approach, ensuring the provision of a ‘platinum’ service to the business. Your role will be crucial in providing high levels of customer service and a consistent, quality experience that is legally compliant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and resolve escalated employee-related cases with sensitivity and confidentiality, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Support cases escalated to ACAS and those that have progressed to an employment tribunal.
  • Act as an expert consultant for the business and People Operations with technical referrals on HR cases.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain HR policies and procedures relating to escalated cases to ensure they are current and effective.
  • Provide a valued and high-quality employee relations service, ensuring compliance with relevant employment legislation and regulations.
  • Monitor and report on team performance metrics, enabling data-driven decisions and effective measurement.
  • Work closely with legal advisors and external partners to ensure the organisation is fully compliant with employment legislation.
  • Proactively provide data insights to make informed business decisions and forecast longer-term business needs and trends.
  • Establish lessons learnt from cases to improve decision-making throughout the employee lifecycle.

Key Skills & Experience Required

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Proactive and emotionally resilient.
  • Ability to make confident decisions and objectively justify them.
  • Skilled at collaboration to deliver results while being confident in working independently.
  • Proven ability to manage employee relations cases to a high level.
  • Working knowledge of Employment Law and current HR best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
