PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE) REQUIREMENTS:

  • To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees, wearing PPE is a requirement for some roles at PECNA and may include equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator.

    Qualifications:

EDUCATION

  • Basic/Required: Associate degree in HR or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Preferred: MBA, Masters in HR Management or advanced degree preferred

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of applicable workplace laws, regulations, and employment trends.
  • Ability to work both independently and part of a team.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills, discretion, and ability to manage confidential information.
  • Flexibility – critical for a start-up environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word and can use the computer to complete online learning requirements for -specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment.
  • Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English. Candidate who speak fluent Spanish and/or Japanese are preferred.
  • Resilient, self-motived and able to work well under pressure

Responsibilities
  • Conduct prompt, fair, impartial, and thorough investigations into sensitive employee relations issues concerning allegations such as discrimination, harassment, retaliation, hostile work environment, and PECNA policy violations.
  • Thoroughly document investigative efforts internally using a case management system.
  • Conduct investigatory interviews, collect, and analyze relevant evidence, write investigation reports, and deliver debriefs with relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure consistent application of PECNA policies, procedures, and compliance.
  • Formally respond to sensitive concerns and allegations as required by internal processes and/or external agencies.
  • Foster effective relationships with HR teams, legal counsel, and business leaders.
  • Work with Human Resource Business Partners and PECNA supervisors on how to appropriately manage and resolve moderately complex ER issues and performance management issues.
  • Partner with team members throughout the PECNA organization to communicate and educate on policies, procedures, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with Employee Relations leadership to scale and refine the employee relations function, including development of reactive and proactive initiatives, production of data analytics, and ensuring an equitable and transparent employee experience across the company.
  • Participate in the development and deployment of ER related training and other team projects as needed.
  • Consistently demonstrate and promote PECNA performance competencies, with special emphasis on building trust and serving others.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
