We’re looking for a Contract Employee Relations Manager to join our People Support Services team. This hybrid role, based in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area, is perfect for someone who thrives on building trust, solving problems, and creating a positive workplace culture. You’ll play a hands-on role in shaping how our employees experience work-from addressing challenges fairly, to guiding performance, to helping leaders strengthen engagement. This isn’t just about policies; it’s about people. Your day might include coaching a manager on a sensitive performance issue, leading an investigation with fairness and discretion, designing engagement strategies with People Support Services, or simply being a steady presence for employees navigating workplace concerns. Every interaction you have will directly influence the trust, belonging, and culture at All For Kids.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
  • Experience in Employee Relations and Employee Engagement
  • Knowledge of HR Policies and Labor and Employment Law
  • Skills in Performance Management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving abilities and conflict resolution skills
  • Previous experience in a nonprofit organization a plus
    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand or sit; walk; use hands and talk or hear. Fine motor skills such as typing and the use of a computer mouse is required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues, providing coaching and guidance to managers and staff.
  • Investigate workplace concerns, complaints, and grievances in a fair and confidential manner while ensuring compliance with employment laws.
  • Advise leadership on performance management, corrective actions, and disciplinary matters to ensure consistency with policies and culture.
  • Partner with People Support Services and leadership to build engagement strategies that strengthen trust, retention, and organizational culture.
  • Act as a cultural ambassador by promoting All For Kids’ values of Access, Belonging, Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (ABIDE) in all employee interactions.
