We’re growing, and we’re looking for a part-time Employee Relations Specialist to join our People & Culture team in Newcastle on a permanent basis.
In this role, you’ll deliver a best-in-class People Advisory service, supporting managers across the business with expert guidance on employee relations and people management. Your insights and expertise will help shape a positive employee experience, aligned with our values and culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide insightful monthly reports to operational managers, identifying trends and supporting improvement initiatives.
  • Coach and guide people managers through all Employee Relations matters.
  • Support onboarding and induction for new People Managers.
  • Assist in managing organisational change programs alongside leadership.
  • Collaborate across business functions to deliver a seamless people service.
  • Support People Services with complex queries, driving continuous improvement and user experience.
  • Maintain and update people policies, ensuring compliance and accessibility.
  • Oversee governance of regulatory and legislative requirements (e.g., Visa, GDPR, Employment Law).
  • Support line manager development and training initiatives.
  • Champion culture, wellbeing, and diversity, contributing to DE&I goals.
  • Help deliver People & Culture strategies aligned with business objectives.

Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications:

  • CIPD Level 5 Qualification or proven and demonstrable experience required
  • Ability to use data to create meaningful insight in support of operational performance
  • Process improvement and organisational skills, with a commitment to building internal and external relationships
  • Experience in influencing stakeholders
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Skill in considering the wider context and making impartial judgments in differing situations
  • Comfortable working under own initiative, making decisions and seeking counsel where necessary
  • High level of business integrity and professionalism
  • Innovative, customer focused and proactive approach to resolving problems, taking ownership and accountability
  • Excellent use of IT and Microsoft packages.
