C£45,000 PER ANNUM PLUS PACKAGE

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Employee Relations Specialist for a multi-site retail business based in the Selby area.
Reporting to the Employee Relations Manager, the ER Specialist will play a key role in supporting managers across a wide range of employee relations matters. Including disciplinaries, grievances, absence, and performance management. You will also provide coaching and mentoring to line managers, enabling them to handle casework confidently, professionally, and within agreed policies and timescales.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong ER background within manufacturing, retail, or another fast-paced environment
  • Proven experience working closely with line managers to resolve complex ER cases
  • Solid understanding of UK employment law and best practice
  • A confident communicator who remains calm under pressure and is solutions-focused
  • Comfortable working on-site in the Selby area 4 days per week (with 1 day flexible)
  • A full driving licence is likely required to access the location
    This is a permanent role based in the Selby area, offering c£45,000 per annum plus package.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on ER casework, ensuring consistency and compliance with internal policies and employment law
  • Partner with line managers to build capability and confidence in handling people matters
  • Support or lead investigations, hearings, and appeals as required
  • Track and report on ER trends, supporting the wider HR team in proactively managing people risk
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of ER policies, processes, and training
  • Support the development of ER Advisors within the team by giving them exposure to more complex cases
