We are looking for a talented Employee Relations and Total Rewards Manager who will be responsible for leading and directing the routine functions related to Employee Relations and Total Rewards including employee engagement, job description and compensation alignment, management support, policy writing, communication, oversight and administration of benefits and leave, enforcing company policies and practices and supporting strategies that strengthen the business.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in Human Resources
  • Preferred certifications: S/PHR, S/CP or GPHR
  • Minimum of 2 years managerial and supervisory experience with the ability to demonstrate excellence in team leadership and development.
  • Strong experience in all facets of human resources including: performance management, talent acquisition, talent management, learning & development, organizational design, and employee relations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively throughout all levels of an organization
  • Knowledge of effective HR management – remains current on relevant laws, best practices and seeks professional HR development opportunities
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, office, etc.)
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.

Responsibilities
  • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource strategy particularly as it relates to current and future needs, engagement, retention, and succession planning.
  • Provides support and guidance to HR team members, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
  • Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Collaborates with Talent and Development to accomplish learning and development initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees and business continuity through identifying gaps and supporting solutions.
  • Creates and reviews job descriptions to ensure that they meet the needs of the organization, align with business strategy and are legally compliant.
  • Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, and employment law.
  • Leads benefit selection, design, research, open enrollment and communication ensuring that packages meet the needs of the employee population, align with market, are cost considerate and sustainable.
  • Serve as a strategic HR partner with functional business leaders by possessing a thorough understanding of the business and engagement by translating the business requirements and challenges into relevant HR actions and initiatives.
  • Maintains consistent and proactive communication with the organization on relevant changes and initiatives through appropriate communication mediums.
  • Leads and oversees engagement initiatives and events in all US locations through organization and committee building.
  • Creates and reviews relevant data to guide initiatives and priorities; identifying trends through this data and develops strategies to address the business identified need.
  • Works closely with Payroll to review pay runs for accuracy and completeness.
  • Oversees the immigration processes of employees requiring sponsorship and ensures that all employment laws are followed and adhered to.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Possess mental faculties consistent with performing the minimum requirements of the job.
