Description

The Employee Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of employee-related systems, including HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems), payroll, benefits platforms, and other workforce technologies. This role ensures that systems operate efficiently, securely, and accurately to support HR, payroll, and organizational operations. The administrator serves as a subject matter expert and plays a critical role in streamlining employee systems, supporting staff, and delivering reliable workforce data for decision-making.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–5 years of experience in HRIS or employee systems administration.
  • Proficiency with HR and workforce systems (ADP preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes (payroll, benefits, recruiting, onboarding, performance management).
  • Experience with system integrations, data management, and reporting.
  • User training and support.
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements (FLSA, HIPAA, etc.)
  • Proficient in MS Office skills; PowerPoint skills
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
  • Maintain a neat, well-groomed, and professional appearance.

The job operates in a professional office environment using standard office equipment.

Core days are typically Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but hours are flexible and may extend outside of the core day. This position may require weekend and/or holiday work.

This position reports directly to the Chief People Officer

Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain HR systems (HRIS, payroll, benefits, timekeeping, and talent management systems), primarily ADP Workforce Now.
  • Manage system configurations, upgrades, integrations, and security settings.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance across all employee systems.
  • Ensure system compliance with data security and privacy requirements.
  • Serve as primary contact for troubleshooting system issues and coordinating resolutions with vendors or IT.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, workflows, and process guides.
  • Partner with HR and payroll teams to streamline processes through automation and improved system functionality.
  • Generate, schedule, and distribute workforce and compliance reports as required.
  • Manage user access, security roles, and permissions across systems as required.
  • Support HR and business leaders with system training and user support.
  • Collaborate with IT and third-party vendors on system updates, patches, and enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain backup plans to prevent data loss and ensure business continuity.
  • Monitor system performance, identify risks, and recommend process improvements.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in HRIS providers, vendors and technology.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
