This role is required to cover our Academies in Aylesbury, Luton, Cambridge, CPCA, Northampton and Peterborough, so travel within the region is required.
The Employer Engagement Officer is a key member of the Pre-Employment Training (PET) Sales and Engagement Team, supporting our learners to gain access to a variety of employment opportunities as part of the Skills Bootcamp Provision. The post holder will have responsibility and accountability for meeting/exceeding key performance indicators for securing interview and job offers.
The key element of this role will involve identifying employers offering work placements, and employment opportunities, which match the skills, experience, and aspirations of the learner, whilst also coordinating work placement opportunities for learners.
The Employer Engagement Officer will ensure that they continually identify and build relationships with employers and FE providers. The role will also include offering advice and guidance about employment pathways, career development, career, and job fair type of events.
The post holder will also add additional value to the Sales Team helping to develop ways to support learners’ personal development and transition to employment, apprenticeships, or further education.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE MUST POSSESS THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALITIES:
Ø Experience of working with a range of employers, organisations, and businesses.
Ø Experience of successfully working in a recruitment, target driven role
Ø Experience of working in the adult education and pre-employment sector an advantage.
Ø Account Management.
Ø Managing strict KPI’s and performance management
Ø Experience of working against set targets.
Ø Experience within the development of processes and procedures.
Ø Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ø Strong attention to detail
Ø Able to follow processes
Ø Enthusiasm in the workplace

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
Ø Understanding of the DfE bootcamp delivery model and required outcomes

Ø Develop an employer engagement plan in line with agreed performance measures. The plan will include rationale for employer targets along with short- and long-term goals, these will include:
Ø Have responsibility and accountability for Milestone 2 (Interview) and Milestone 3 (Employment offer) for learners enrolled onto the Level 2 Bootcamp programmes across the academies
Ø Submit weekly reports to the Head of Sales around engagement and outcomes for learners
Ø Plan and execute forward looking engagement/recruitment plans, to meet the employment needs of future bootcamp learners
Ø Network with potential employers advocating Skills Academies services and learners.
Ø To set up, book and attend appointments and meetings with referral partners to promote the opportunities developed through the relationships with employers.
Ø Develop and deliver appropriate involvement mechanisms such as supporting existing partnerships and academy events.
Ø Prepare written reports, presentations, and updates as and when required.
Ø Develops employer engagement/recruitment strategies and approaches for various products and services, such as special promotions, employer focus groups, sponsored events, etc.
Ø Work in partnership with recruitment agencies and stakeholders to develop and deliver activities which deliver required outcomes.
Ø Contributes information, ideas, and research to help develop marketing strategies.
Ø Helps to detail, design, and implement engagement and marketing plans for each service being offered.
Ø Sets marketing schedules and coordinates with colleagues, sponsors, media representatives, and others to implement strategies across multiple channels.
Ø Answers questions from customers about product and service benefits.
Ø Maintains excellent relationships with internal and external customers through superior customer service.
Ø Tracks sales data and works to meet Skills Academies sales team goals, analyse trends, data, demographics, pricing strategies, and other information that can potentially improve marketing and sales performance
Ø Attends trade shows and travels to meet employers and stakeholders as needed.
