About the Role | Nga mahi As an Employment Consultant, you’ll work alongside clients referred to Ember Employment to help them identify career goals and secure meaningful work. You’ll provide one-on-one support, develop tailored employment plans, and guide clients through the job-seeking process—from interviews to job placements and beyond. An essential part of your role will be building and maintaining strong partnerships with a diverse range of employers across industries. You’ll also play a key role in ensuring we meet our Ministry of Social Development contract targets—both as an individual and as part of the wider team. You will bring | Nga Pukenga • A New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 4) or equivalent, or be working towards one • A current Full NZ driver’s licence • A valid work visa, residency, or New Zealand citizenship • Relevant experience in employment support or related services (e.g. experience working within disability, youth, residential or mental health service settings) is preferred • Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—and an ability to connect with people from all walks of life • A high level of integrity, with the ability to handle sensitive matters confidentially and objectively • Motivation and resilience—able to work to targets and persevere through challenges • A valid work visa, residency, or New Zealand citizenship • A genuine passion for walking alongside others, supporting them in achieving their goals and thriving in their recovery journey When applying please provide | Kia Whakauru • An up to date CV covering relevant work history and education • A Cover Letter detailing o Why you’re interested in this role? o What skills, competencies and experience you would bring to the role? “He aha te mea nui o te ao?
