Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and pragmatic advice to clients on a range of employment law and workplace safety matters.
  • Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal business partners and stakeholders.
  • Handle employment disputes and litigation.
  • Provide support for transactional matters, including outsourcing.
  • Draft employer responses to legal claims and letters of demand.
  • Policy and contract reviews.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ PQE working in Australia.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Employment Laws and the Fair Work Act.
  • Awareness of new or pending federal and state legislation, rules and regulations and industry developments and trends.
  • Experience working independently and cross-functionally.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment.
  • Must have full Australian working rights and be eligible to practice in Australia.
