The Woodbury office of Kaufman Dolowich LLP, nationally recognized law firm honored by U.S. News as one of the “Best Companies to Work For – Law Firms,” is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate Attorney with at least one year of experience in commercial and/or employment litigation to join our practice. Responsibilities: Managing a full litigation caseload from inception through resolution Communicating directly with clients and providing regular case updates Taking and defending depositions Handling mediations Participating in investigations, court appearances, motion practice, and trials Qualifications: JD degree with excellent academic credentials Law Review and/or Moot Court experience is preferred 1+ years of experience in commercial and/or employment litigation Admittance to practice in New York Exceptional writing, research, and communication skills Experience handling employment litigation matters, including but not limited to employment discrimination, workplace harassment, wage and hour disputes, and traditional labor law matters is preferred Experience handling employment litigation in federal and state wage and hour cases, including collective and class actions is preferred Experience handling investigations before the U.S. Department of Labor, the New York State Department of Labor, EEOC and other state and local human rights agencies is preferred Why KD? Actual compensation will be determined based on market location, as well as the candidate’s experience, skills, and job-related qualifications.
