How you make a difference:
The Employment Practices Paralegal will administer employment claims and litigation for the company and its affiliates, including drafting responses to EEOC and state human rights claims, attorney demand letters, and records requests. They will coordinate with local counsel on employment lawsuits, ensuring effective oversight of information, documentation, and case coordination. Additionally, they will liaise with insurance adjusters and prepare reports on litigation status and expenses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide paralegal and administrative assistance for employment liability litigation and claims, including discovery responses, witness identification, document management, and litigation tracking.
  • Serve as the primary contact for third-party administrators and outside counsel, coordinate deposition testimony, mediation, trial preparation, and ensure compliance with subpoenas and record requests.
  • Coordinate internal and external claims reporting, settlement payment requests, vendor setup, invoice submissions, and monitor litigation expenses.
  • Receive and review attorney correspondence related to employee grievances, conduct initial investigations, prepare responses, and assist with severance agreements and payments.
  • Coordinate immigration law and VISA inquiries with internal partners and outside counsel, monitor the employment law inbox, and assist with additional duties as assigned.

Additional Details: Experience in Employment Practices required.
Qualifications & Requirements:

Education

  • Relevant bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in firm, insurance defense and health care settings.
  • Strong technology skills in such applications as Word, Excel, databases and strong general research skills using the internet.

Licenses/Certifications

  • Paralegal certificate or related experience required.
