Position Summary: The Employment Recruiter is responsible for pre‐screening candidates for open positions and forwarding all qualified internal and external candidates to the hiring Managers/Directors, as well as implementing effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract qualified and capable talent for the organization. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures. This position will report directly to the Tribal Development & Recruiting Manager. Essential Functions: * Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting North Fork Mono Casino & Resort's culture and always demonstrating exemplary Service Standards. * Ensure all internal and external guests entering the Human Resources/Employment Center are greeted in a professional manner. * Responsible for answering phones in a professional and friendly manner. * Pre‐screen candidates for open positions. * Understanding of the entire employment process and all relevant employment laws. * Forward all qualified internal and external candidates to hiring Managers/Directors. * Develop relationships across management levels to streamline daily updates on staffing requirements, open positions and application statuses. * Engage with various operational teams through shadowing to understand the full scope of their work and daily responsibilities of each position. * Support development initiatives that enhance team cohesion. * Facilitate group interviews and training. * Use the computer system for the employment process and update all information as necessary. * Track all internal and external applications. * Assist the Tribal Gaming Commission licensing department by adding candidates to the licensing system, ensuring they receive the link to complete the licensing packet, and that they understand the licensing process and requirements. * Report a weekly status of applications sent, as well as goals and objectives for each week. * Conduct and/or assist with hiring events as needed. * Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization. * Assists with job posting and advertisement processes. * Assist with onboarding of new hires. * Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Excellent interpersonal skills. * Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles. * Ability to clearly convey information and facilitate an open dialogue, which includes both speaking and nonverbal cues. * Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. * Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment. * Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. * Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems. * Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Minimum Qualifications: * High school diploma or GED required. * Minimum of one (1) year of human resource experience required; recruiting and casino experience preferred. * Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Commission. * Must be at least 21 years of age. * Physical Requirements: * All work will be performed on site in Madera, CA. * Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. * Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. * Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment. Work Conditions: Team Members will be in constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests. Work includes the maintenance and care of assigned work area. Work is typically performed in an office environment. However, work may be in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, and may contain secondhand smoke. Work may be performed in a confined area. Work may be scheduled at various hours, including working overtime, and during evening, weekends, and holidays. Work may entail trained chemical usage. Work is in a high volume, fast paced environment with frequent interruptions.
